Do ladies like to wear high heel shoes?

I was wondering does blind people like to where high heels? I know sighted people love to. Sometimes from far you can hear ladies with high heels walking towards u. I think wearing high heels makes a person look sexy n makes your legs look slimmer.

Same here. Love high heels to death, but I can't wear them very often as I have totally flat feet which makes wearing any shoes for long periods of time quite uncomfortable, hence my spending most of my waking hours in sling back slippers, crocks, those really comfy flat boots or sandles, lmfao.

Only on formal occasions, will I wear high heels. Otherwise, it's just sneakers for me most of the time, and sandals in the summer.

Post 4 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Wednesday, 02-Apr-2008 9:14:57

I used to wear them almost every day. Not real high, only about two inches, since I am 5 foot 8 and didn't really want to add a lot of height. But I used to like wearing them with my outfits and trying to match colors. But in recent years I've had foot problems resulting from diabetes and can't comfortably wear them anymore.

I like to wear a heal that is only about 1 1/2 high because anything higher than that I find is a little difficult to walk with my guide dog. I just bought a pair of the baleet flats at the Gap, they are very cute and trendy this season.

Post 6 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Wednesday, 02-Apr-2008 11:44:12

i can't even walk on 1 inch heels. It's tennis shoes 99.99 perecent of of the time.

Post 7 by changedheart421 (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Wednesday, 02-Apr-2008 14:28:07

always tennis shoes for me to

Post 8 by cattleya (Help me, I'm stuck to my chair!) on Wednesday, 02-Apr-2008 16:20:21

I'll ware heels, but I hate them!!! I prefer presenting the natural look; instead of the way that heels (IMO) deform the leg.

Post 9 by Daenerys Targaryen (Enjoying Life) on Wednesday, 02-Apr-2008 21:35:54

I like wearing heels sometimes, because they make me a bit taller and for me, that is a very good thing. LOL Those of you who know how short I am know what I'm talking about.

Post 10 by blw1978 (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 0:07:37

I like wearing heels, but only in places where I won't have to do a lot of walking. I sometimes wear pumps to wrok, but they're not that high and the heel is sort of square-shaped so there's less chance of falling. Ladies, do you like wedge shoes? I like these, cause the heels on these are sometimes a bit more substantial. I do like a shoe with just a small heel. I think they're cute and feminine. I like strappy sandals in the summer as well. Anyone out there besides me hate backless shoes? I don't mind an open back, as long as there's a strap, so I don't feel like my shoe's gonna fly off. Slingbacks are cute, and they're comfortable in the summer. While we'are on the topic of shoes, Crocks, love em or hate em? As for me, the only reason I'd wear them is in a boat. Other than that I think they're ugly, and kind of sloppy-looking. Just my oppinion though. I'd rather have a hard soul, at least on the bottom of my shoe. Everyone's different though.

Post 11 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 7:47:58

I can't stand heels, but my blindness has nothing to do with it. i'm sure they look very pretty, but they're terribly uncomfortable. I too have flat feet, and orthodics don't fit in heels. Like several others have said, it's tennis shoes for me most of the time. When I do dress up, it's flats, or a very low heel.

Post 12 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 10:45:42

I hate backless sandals. I like to know that my shoe's not going to fly off with every step I take. I wore sneakers when I worked my guide dog, and I'll do that with the next one too.

Post 13 by Voyager (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 14:34:11

It's tennis shoes for me except for very special occasions. I only own two pairs of shoes anyway. My mom and I both agreed that my balance is so bad, that if I wore heels to my wedding, I'd look like Frankinstein.

Post 14 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 15:23:25

i like my regular runners usually, but when it's nice out or i'm in the mood, i'll wear anything from 1 to 2 inch heels, sling back or wedges or flats sometimes but not alot cuz i'm short too lol..strappy sandals rock, i love boots too. i've worn stalettos a few times but the ones i had had my feet hurting so much. I have a few pairs of shoes with out the back, don't particularly like them so i don't where them that much really cuz like someone else said i like to feel like it's not gonna fly off lol. i love shoes though omg. got like 30 pairs of all kinds.

Post 15 by tyger_lillee84 (I can't call it a day til I enter the zone BBS) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 20:07:32

I love shoes, and shopping for them lol. I'm so glad it's spring time. Out with the boots, and in with the sexy spring shoes. I mostly wear flats, but heals are sexy too. I get blisters real easily, so that's why heals aren't exactly for me. Although, I have this real cute pair of wedge boots, and I use insoles so it's not so bad.

Post 16 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 20:45:17

I totally don't understand the shoe obsession. I have one or two pair for each occasion.

Post 17 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 03-Apr-2008 21:53:48

Yay, shoes! I love shoes. I don't have quite as many as Janelle, but I do have a lot. Mostly sandal types. The strappy sandals are usually my favorite, and backless shoes don't bother me at all. And as for the original question, I love, love, love heels. I have several pairs, and boots with heels and wedges, although I prefer the thinner heel. Stilettos are awesome. I've never had a problem with them hurting my feet, except when I wore them to the mall once and walked around for literally hours.

Post 18 by cattleya (Help me, I'm stuck to my chair!) on Friday, 04-Apr-2008 17:51:30

Don't understand the shoe obcession either; just not me. Also, I don't think my dislike of heels has anything to do with being blind. I simply think they're unnatural, and I've seen to much of the damage they can do...My Mom had a hip replacement at 49, and I think (and could probably ask her about it) that her constant waring of heels had a lot to do with her hip going wrong. Also, I've heard of other insidences ware it just makes me think flats, sandles, tinnies, ETC are just fine for me. I do own a pare of heels; babydoll ones, and that's all I'll ware, and then only when absolutely necessary!!!

Post 19 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Friday, 04-Apr-2008 18:30:29

When I did wear heels, I hated wearing them outdoors. There are always uneven side walks and those metal grates for skinny heels to get caught in and make you have to walk very carefully. But wearing heels indoors was a breeze.

Post 20 by fireworks77 (make sure you sparkle) on Saturday, 05-Apr-2008 11:06:48

I wouldn't wear skinny stileto type heals, but I'm usually in boots with a 2 to 3 inch heal. I'm not too keen on sandles, because I always feel I'm going to stub my toe or loose them when I'm half way down the road or getting on a train! lol. I hate it when people aren't walking properly in heals, and you get that horrible scraping noise.

Post 21 by sophiagoh (Generic Zoner) on Monday, 07-Apr-2008 2:06:05

Yes totally agree. The noise is sometimes unbearable. You can hear it from far.

Post 22 by redgirl34 (Scottish) on Monday, 07-Apr-2008 8:34:26

I cant ware heels iether. I have flat feet. I wish I could ware heels though. When I was in school years ago, I had 1 to 2 inches of heels but that's all. I sprained my ancle once or twice to.

Post 23 by Pure love (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 23-Aug-2008 6:02:26

Oh gosh I love high heals but, because I might have vein problems, I am not allowed to wear them right now. Stuff it I am going to wear them today anyways hahahaha.

Post 24 by Marissapc2010 (Zone BBS is my Life) on Saturday, 18-Oct-2008 6:12:02

Yay heels! I love them. I have lots of heels and wedges, and I like heelly boots to. I love the little extra hight, and I like the noise they make to. makes me feel professional. lol. Sandles are nice to for the summertime. I don't mind the backless shoes if I'm just walking somewhere, I usually keep up with them pretty well. lol.

Post 25 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Thursday, 23-Oct-2008 4:43:25

lol yesterday i were like these 4 inch heel black shoes to school for this presentation in my comunications aplication class, i haden't worn heels for a while cuz that usually requires me to do my nails..i have this thing i can't where anything that shows my toes unless my nails are in shape and painted. even if it's clear. but yeah, i don't know how some girls could ware them like everyday. like i love feeling taller and it feels all professional, but some girls ware them like everyday. like after awhile those things hurt. lol

Post 26 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Thursday, 23-Oct-2008 4:45:40

and i don't mind shoes that don't have a back anymore, but there are some shoes who don't have a back and the way it's made is annoying cuz they do come off easily

Post 27 by SEPTEMBER-TWILIGHT (CAN I TALK? PLEASE?) on Thursday, 23-Oct-2008 6:57:33

omgomgomg! i love love love love love shoes! lol, agreed janelle. I have so many pairs of shoes in my closet, it's not even funny. But, I actually really do love heels. Even though they make me feel like my balance is off and i'm going to fall with every step. It just makes me feel so much more confident and prfessional and taller, lol. But, i usually only wear two/three inch heels, because, higher than that then i'll probably fall flat on my face and embarrass myself. lol. I love strappy sandals too, and flip flops! flip flops are so awesome, I love the noise they make when ever you walk, lol. I'm weird. But, back less shoes don't mind me at all actually. I love those kind of shoes. But boots are just not for me. I hate to wear them usually, except in the winter when it's necessary.

Post 28 by lilo (Generic Zoner) on Sunday, 11-Jan-2009 3:10:06

I love heals but it normally requires me to walk slower. And Lilo doesn't understand that. The backless shoes also make me feel uncomfortable. It feels like you have to hold on for dear life.

Post 29 by Skyla (move over school!) on Sunday, 11-Jan-2009 14:57:09

I love heels, but unfortunately, can't wear them most of the time. My guide dog and I walk pretty quickly, and I'd look most ungraceful running down the sidewalk in a pair of heels. And stiletos? forget it. I don't think I could even stand in them, let alone walk in them. But if I'm going clubbing, heels are definitely the way to go. I'm only 5'3, so the additional height is welcomed! and, I'll join the shameless shoe-lovers with closets filled with them!!

Post 30 by Miss Gorgeous (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 16-Jan-2009 22:15:19

I like wearing high heel shoes sometimes, but not all the time. Yeah, I agree with the one who posted this topic. It does make your legs look slimmer and taller. I usually wear high heels when I'm going to parties, special occassions, and some family gatherings, but for my normal get togethers, I just wear flat shoes.

Post 31 by Eleni21 (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Friday, 16-Jan-2009 22:57:40

I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of high heals. I don't mind them on others but they're definitely not for me, especially those really pointy ones with thin heals. I don't mind regular shoes with small heals, though I wear them extremely rarely. I guess it helps that I don't wear dresses either. lol

Post 32 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Saturday, 17-Jan-2009 21:27:26

High heels make too much noise and impossible to walk in. Plus, they are bad for your feet in the long run.

Post 33 by Harmony (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 02-Apr-2009 15:39:39

I hate high heeled shoes. I can't walk in them properly. I also hate those shoes that don't have backs on them because they feel like they're going to fall off or something.

Post 34 by MizAngie (Veteran Zoner) on Thursday, 02-Apr-2009 20:57:28

Hi, I like wearing heals, but nothing too high.

Post 35 by The SHU interpreter (I just keep on posting!) on Saturday, 04-Apr-2009 18:05:36

don't feel bad cause i am 4.11 almost 5 ft tall.
i have a friend who is 5'2 and she tels me that i am 2 inches shorter than her. and i have to where heals because i have problems with my pants being to damn long.
so my heals make the legs look longer and i am taller.
i have a bunch of heals and most of them are slingbacks.
these i use when i go to work or where skirts in the summer.

Post 36 by BethanyRose (the one and only Rose of Nativeness) on Tuesday, 26-May-2009 19:40:42

I don't wear high heels, in large part because my body just won't tollerate those evil shoes! LOL! They really aren't healthy anyway. So no, I don't wear them, and that's because of the muscle and balance problems. I think people would hear me falling rather than walking. LOL! By the way, there are flats that are just as elegant and stylish as heels, and they are safer!

Post 37 by Twinklestar09 (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Wednesday, 27-May-2009 3:39:31

I used to like wearing the platform shoes, and sometimes high-heels, but lately since several years now I don't like wearing either one. I just feel like I'm trying to be something I'm not (which is taller), and I don't feel comfortable about that. Plus, high feels are uncomfortable for me to walk in anyway.

Post 38 by Thunderstorm (HotIndian!) on Wednesday, 27-May-2009 9:09:34

I don't understand what way the shoes are making a girl sexy! hmmmmm?

I don't think I'll look at the shoes of a girl even if I'm having sight.

I'm 5.7 and I'll always wear shoes with a little bit heel. not more than 2 inches, though.

Raaj.

Post 39 by blw1978 (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Wednesday, 27-May-2009 13:51:10

Lots of fashion colomnists claim that heels make girls' legs appear longer and slimmerr. But, this is up for debate though

Post 40 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Thursday, 28-May-2009 5:39:27

No, all they do is make your feet blister after you've walked in them for several hours. Plus, they make for good ankle-twisting devices if your foot accidentally slips off a sidewalk, which has happened to me a few times. ouch.

Post 41 by blw1978 (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Thursday, 28-May-2009 11:01:15

Yes, that is a downside. I don't wear them a lot, but once in awhile I might.

Post 42 by BethanyRose (the one and only Rose of Nativeness) on Saturday, 30-May-2009 18:38:19

I have to agree with Mistress_Naiara on this one! And would women rather want their legs to look shapely and longer or risk screwing up their feet, backs and faces lest they fall?/

Post 43 by Siriusly Severus (The ESTJ 1w9 3w4 6w7 The Taskmaste) on Friday, 05-Jun-2009 6:04:08

I don't mind it, I can wear them, but every time I wear them for two long my foot aches, so I don't.
